What people generally think of as dungeons in Guild Wars 2 is instead the Fractals of the Mists, which are a bunch of mini-dungeons called Fractals, where each one has its own story and environment. Some of them are more focused on boss fights, and some others more focused on progressing through puzzles. Both of these aspects are what people
The only things you cannot stat swap are trinkets (backpiece, accessories, rings, amulet). Elite specialization collections are great ways to get cheap (around 50 gold, usually) ascended weapons. That's basically what crafting an asc weapon costs. Leveling to 500 isn't that expensive. In less than an hour, you can get Armorcrafting 500 for 68g and Weaponcrafting 500 for 130g. Then you can craft all the ascended gear you want. The guides are at gw2crafts.net . YES! You get a full set of armor for free after completing the first three raid wings, aka forsaken thicket, ones. Or farm the season 3 maps which give you access to jewelry and backpacks that are ascended. Or play WvW and PvP and get boxes out of the reward tracks or drops from enemies. Or play fractals and/or raids and get access to ascended gear that way. Trying to gear your self through world bosses is a bad idea :)
Fastest way: Pay cash to buy gem and then convert to gold to buy exotic armor from trading post.Slow way: 1. Acquire Karma by playing the game, then buy Orr Temple's exotic (as already suggested by Taelac). 2. Play dungeon to get token to buy exotic dungeon armors. 3.
The fastest way is farming eternal ice shards by doing IBS strikes and parking some alts in Bjora Marches chests (check fast farming website for best locations) and buying diflourite crystals and mistborn motes from the vendor in Bjora (or eye of the north if you unlocked him). You'll have enough motes and crystals for a full set in no time.
Icebrood Saga will bring you cheap Ascended accessories and amulet from Bjora marches, and a couple others like the achievements from the treasure Hunt in Drizzlewood coast and the free ascended accessory you get after yesterday's story. As for weapons and armor, no, the best way to get them through Icebrood Saga is doing strike missions.
Trading post at first. Afterwards, farming achievements and gear from specific merchants. That said, I also got a vast majority of my ascended gear from farming PvP daily rooms. But I think they nerfed that to oblivion some time ago. Haven't seen any purple gear for a while. Still, some of the reward tracks give amazing loot.
The easiest/quickest ascended gear collections from all three expansions. Caladbolg Reforged (Knight of the Thorn sub-quest after Heart of Thorns Storyline): Dagger, Scepter, Sword, Shield, Greatsword By obtaining the first, you get a chance to swap them into the other versions at will with stat-reset option.
6 days ago · This tool will remove the upgrades from any item, without destroying either the upgrade or the item. — In-game description. Upgrade Extractor is a consumable item that removes all upgrade components, including infusions and enrichments, from a single piece of equipment. The Extractor also works on most soulbound items, including those that
TOAD.4718. Yes, getting endgame gear is a bit of work, but remember, once you get it you will never need to replace it. With ascended you might need to get some new trinkets, but the weapons and armour can be stat changed in the mystic forge, and legendary stuff can just be stat changed when you are not in combat.
Crafting is the fastest way to get it, but if you can't be asked to do that then you can get a full set of ascended gear from pvp basically for free if you play ranked. You don't have to win, you just have to collect enough ascended shards and reward marks along the way.
Go for Reaper elite spec from HoT, you can spend points you unlock from PoF in HoT elites too so don't worry. Go for a power build so fullzerk equip and look up some guides from snowcrows or discretize on how to play Power Reaper (just google those sites). I'm guessing you have exotics. You can get ascended gear from 1: max level crafting 2
Before you buy things for profit, like from GW2efficiency, there are some things you can only buy with laurels, such as armor and weapon ascended recipes. The ascended trinkets themselves are not worth buying with laurels as you can get the rings much faster and easier through pristine fractal relics in your fractal dailies.
It's what I call "stat swapping" for ascended gear, so it isn't confused with legendary stat swapping, as they work in different ways, since I've seen quite a few people screwed by others calling it "stat swap" and being misled by that, thinking they'll get the same item with different stats like when swapping stats in legendaries.
I heard you can craft some random stats ascended armor and then swap the stats. Stat swapping is only really useful for some stats (like diviners or vipers) where the inscription can be very costly. The costs is basically 3-4 grandmaster marks and 2-4 gold, which if my calculations are correct, is still cheaper.
Easiest ascended weapon to get is Caladbolg if you have HoT. From wiki "Players can also become the wielder of Caladbolg by completing the Side Story achievement chain Knight of the Thorn after completing the Heart of Thorns storyline". It will give you an option to choose an Ascended weapon. Djarion • 1 yr. ago.
The actual armor books only drop randomly from chests in Auric Basin, I have gotten many from the Octovine Meta (27 chests that are lootable).. It's an uncommon drop but shows up decently often - you should be able to get them in about ~2-3 weeks doing the meta once daily (while getting a bunch of gold worth of other stuff). Slight correction here: Fractals T1 (Level 1-25) is exactly meant to start working on ascended gear, you only need it for the higher tiers because of the agony resistance required. Technically you don't need Ascended gear for anything aside from Fractals of the Mists, that set of exotic armor will do you just fine.
